1. What is the maximum length in seconds per segment allowed?

Answer:

The maximum length per segment allowed is 15 seconds, segments can be 15 seconds or less length.

Correct!

2. How should I mark when there is cross talk or overlapping between the speakers?

Answer:

We don't transcribe crosstalking or overlapping, instead we mark in the same position the tag [uni].

Correct!

3. What should I do when the speech of the speakers is “unintelligible”?

Answer:

These transcriptions are for voice recognition, thats why guessing instead transcribing what was exactly said is tragic for our project. In case you dont understand a word or sentence, mark it as [uni] instead trying transcribe.

Correct!

4. If the speaker says "eehhh" "oh" "mmmm", how should I mark such noise?

Answer:

Mark all the hesitation, interjection and surprise sounds – as [fil]. Example: uh, um, er. ah, mm.

Correct!

5. Should you mark punctuation symbols, like coma, question marks, etc. if the speaker asks a question or makes a pause when talking?

Answer:

Punctuation symbols are not allowed, only characters (letters) and accents or apostrophe if are part of your language.

Correct!

6. How numbers are transcribed in this project?, by writing numbers or characters?

Answer:

Only characters, accents or apostrophe are allowed in the transcriptions, if a user says "three", you should write "three" and never the number "3".

Correct!

7. When you cut a segment, it’s border can’t touch or cut the voice of the speakers, when possible you must leave 2 millimeters from the silence period when cutting a segment, according this information, choose the correct example from the following 2 screenshots based on the chosen segment:

Example A:

Example B:

Answer:

The correct answer is B, as you can see, the border of the segment contains about 2 millimeters from the silence period, without touching the noise or voice period.

Correct!

8. How must segments be aligned, according with the spoken speech? The following two screenshots were edited, with red lines added, in order to symbolize a correct and a incorrect separation of segments, please choose the correct one.

Example A:

Example B:

Answer:

Bad!, the correct answer was A, as you can see in the picture B, there is transcription in silence period, the written content does not match with the spoken one (marked by noise marks) in contrast with the picture A, which matches perfectly.

Correct!
